R&D projects are the core activities of the OPTITEC Cluster. Thirty five projects received the OPTITEC label in 2014 and applied to the various funding agencies. It is a strategic priority for OPTITEC to award its label to projects focused on applications and firmly rooted in the territory. The aim is to encourage the emergence of pre-market demonstrators to provide support for the pre-industrialisation of companies’ products, to drive projects meeting the challenges facing society and to embed photonics within the territory via a network of high-profile facilities for photonic activities.

>> R&D projects: expert consultancy, award of labels and funding
The OPTITEC Cluster provides direct assistance in terms of support, expert consultancy, the award of its label for joint R&D projects and the search for funding.
The award of the OPTITEC label makes projects eligible for specific funding (e.g. the joint ministerial fund FUI) and enables them to qualify for a higher rate of subsidies.
